You will find attached the progress of negotiations as of October 2nd, 2020 further to the last negotiation meeting (latest changes are reflected in red).

Volunteering period: November 1st (or date of approval of the plan by DIRECCTE) to December 31st, 2020 knowing that:

  • A first progress report on volunteering will be carried out on December 31st, 2020. If this milestone is not satisfactory (i.e. there are still volunteers to find to meet the job cuts target), then the volunteering period will be extended to the end of February 2021.
  • A second progress report will then be made at the end of February 2021 and, if necessary, the volunteering period will be extended until the end of March 2021.

Eligibility: employees should have at least 12 months of seniority in Airbus.

a / Internal redeployments: employees who volunteer for internal mobility within the Group in France will benefit from the conditions of support for internal geographic mobility within the Airbus Group in France as defined in the note of July 25th, 2019.
Seniority in current position should be at least 24 months. However this condition does not apply if employee is moving from a professional category impacted by the social plan to a professional category not impacted.
In addition, if the new workstation linked to a voluntary redeployment requires an adaptation of skills, the employee may benefit from a support for training:
– Support for adaptation training: € 3,000
– Support for reconversion training: € 7,000 + use of CPF mandatory if eligible

Bonus for « children higher education »: € 500 per month during 10 months if move more than 70 km in France

Bonus for « loan of personnel »: 1 month of salary for one year of secondment; 2 months of salary for a secondment of more than 18 months

In case of international mobility: « local plus » conditions

b / External redeployments

  • The employee will receive the voluntary departure indemnity (depending on his status and seniority: see on pages 10 and 11 here: Plan social Airbus Covid V7), with a minimum of 5 months,
  • « Speed of decision » bonus if decision taken before the 31th of October, 2020 and leave before December 31st, 2020: 2-month bonus
  • Assistance with geographic mobility (moving paid if more than 70 km)

In addition:

  • Leave to get a job in another company: if needed (lower salary in the new company) differential salary allowance of 350 € gross / month during 12 months
  • Creation / takeover of a company: € 15,000 bonus (except if company already created by the employee) + training (if necessary) up to € 7,000 + bonus of € 6,000 for each hire (in the company created) of an Airbus employee covered by the social plan
  • Qualifying / diploma training leading to a job: € 7,000 excluding tax paid directly to the training organization (educational costs, meals and accommodation costs included)
  • Possibility to leave for a humanitarian mission (minimum duration of 6 months)

Moreover, for any external redeployment, creation of a reclassification leave:

  • Possibility for the employee:
  1. Maintain his initial choice and benefit directly from the proposed measures
  2. Or opt for reclassification leave
  • Duration of the reclassification leave: 4 months (extended to 9 months maximum as part of a qualifying professional project)
  • Remuneration for reclassification leave: 65% of the gross average remuneration received during the last 12 months preceding the signing of the termination by mutual agreement, without being able to be less than 85% of the minimum wage (SMIC)
  • Notice integrated into the duration of redeployment leave
  • Redeployment leave will start as soon as possible upon obtaining approval from DIRECCTE.

c / Retirement and pre-retirement departures

Two different measures should be considered depending on when you get the retirement at full rate according to basic pension scheme (French social security):

  • « Assisted retirement » if full rate reached before July 1st, 2021 ; or if full rate not reached but employee is 62 years old or above before July 1st, 2021
  • Early retirement scheme » (DCAA: pre-retirement) if full rate not reached before July 1st, 2021 but before August 1st, 2024: see below for full details.

Be careful: at the end of the DCAA you should be 62 years old or above (or 60 for a long career) to benefit from the measures!

-In both cases :

  • The employee will receive the voluntary departure indemnity (depending on his status and seniority: see on pages 10 and 11 here: Plan social Airbus Covid V7).
  • Possibility to benefit from the buyback aid of a maximum of 2 quarters and/or a compensation for the penalty of 10% during 3 years on the complementary retirement pension with a maximum of € 10,000

-Specific conditions for « assisted retirement« :

  • Possibility to use the End of career TSA with « abondement » until the retirement date ; without « abondement » after the retirement date (end of career days can also be paid)

-Specific conditions for the DCAA (« Early retirement scheme »):

  • Start of the DCAA (or TSA end of career: see below): from December 1st, 2020 and no later than July 1st, 2021
  • TSA end of career days (with « abondement ») must be taken before entering the DCAA, from December 1st 2020 (max 24 months)
  • Minimum / Maximum duration of the DCAA: 6 months / 24 months (maybe 36 months: still to be confirmed)
    • Case by case study for the situations with a duration less than 6 months
    • If no solution found, possibility to benefit from the DCAA
  • DCAA allowance (paid monthly): see document in French section page 9
  • The employee will receive the voluntary departure indemnity (depending on his status and seniority: see on pages 10 and 11 here: Plan social Airbus Covid V7).


d / Leave for personal reasons:

  • 2 years of seniority required, may be less if manager agrees
  • Unpaid leave between 24 and 36 months
  • Bonus of 1 month of salary
  • In addition, if the employee decides not to return to Airbus after the 1st year of leave, he will benefit from the voluntary departure indemnity (depending on his status and seniority: see on pages 10 and 11 here: Plan social Airbus Covid V7).
